Frequently asked questions

What is the success rate of hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy has been used for hundreds of years and is widely recognised as an effective approach for shifting habits, easing stress, and creating healthier thought patterns. Because every person is different, success looks different for everyone. Many clients notice changes quickly, sometimes even after the first session. What matters most is the collaboration: hypnotherapy works best when both of us bring full effort to the process.

I can promise that I put 100% into your sessions, including preparation and guiding you through them. Your role is to show up with consistency, openness, honesty, and willingness to engage in the process.

Is hypnotherapy guaranteed to work?

Hypnotherapy offers a powerful space to shift patterns and barriers, and create new internal responses. Many clients experience meaningful changes, but it isn’t a magic switch — it’s a shared process that requires your participation.

How many sessions will I need?

This depends on what we are working on.
Some people experience a noticeable shift after the first session. Others need a little longer, especially if there are deeper layers or long established habits involved. We’ll review your progress together, with no pressure and no set number of sessions you must commit to. If you are unsure, message me on 07379972731 for a no obligation discovery call.

Will I lose control?

Not at all. You remain fully aware, able to move, speak, and respond throughout. Most people describe the experience as deeply relaxing while still being completely aware of their surroundings. You are always in charge.

Will you make me bark like a dog?

Only if you genuinely wanted to — but realistically, no. That’s stage hypnosis, which is entertainment. What I offer is therapeutic hypnotherapy, where you stay fully in control and nothing happens without your consent.

Is hypnotherapy proven?

Hypnotherapy has been used for centuries and continues to be supported by modern research for things like stress reduction, habit change, and emotional regulation. It’s a well‑established approach that helps many people create meaningful shifts in their lives

Does hypnotherapy replace medical treatment?

No. Hypnotherapy is a supportive, mindset‑focused approach and does not replace medical, psychological, or psychiatric treatment. If you’re under the care of a GP or specialist, hypnotherapy can sit alongside that support, but it is not a substitute for it.

You’re always encouraged to continue any medical treatment or advice given by healthcare professionals.
